What are microbladed brows?
Microbladed brows are a semi permanent cosmetic tattoo procedure. A hand held tool and bladed are used to implant the pigment into the upper dermis of the skin. I create hairlike strokes throughout the brow to create a fluffy and full brow.
Am I a candidate for microbladed brows?
Please read the FAQs & Eligibilty page on the website to make sure you are a good candidate for cosmetic tattoos. Microbladed brows are suited more for those with normal to dry skin. Microblading can look best with those to fuller brows no little to no brows. When a client has full brows in some areas and sparse in others, it can sometimes look uneven. This is because the strokes can not be too close together as they expand and can blur. And so I am limited with how many strokes I can put into sparse areas. However, options to help these sparse areas is to add some shading to those areas at the perfection visit, or pencil in those areas.
What happens during the procedure?
After reading all the information provided to you on this website, you can book your appt online. The appt will be pencilled in and a consult form will be sent to you. Once this has been filled out and I have checked you are a suitable candidate the appt will be confirmed. If there are any issues with the form I will be in touch with you. You will then follow the pre care instructions on the lead up to your appt. On the day, you will arrive 15 minutes before your appt time for numbing cream to be applied. We will go over your consult form and discuss what you would like to achieve and any concerns or queries. Once you are happy that you are fully informed I will then map a shape to your face. We will work together until you are happy. I will then choose a custom pigment colour that goes with your skin and hair tone. Once decided we will then begin tattooing. I will start on the right brow and do a ‘pass’ from start to tail, anywhere from 10-15 strokes. Once I have got to the tail I will apply numbing cream and do the first pass on the left brow. I will continue back and forth (usually around 3-4 passes) until we have achieved the desired result.

Maintenance and Touch Ups
Some clients may need a perfection visit 8-12 weeks after their initial appt to achieve the desired result. After that all cosmetic tattoos need to be touched up anywhere between 1 - 5 years. On average I have found that the average time frame is the 3 year mark. Tattoos are ready to be touched up when they have faded at least 50%. In between touch ups the brows can be maintained and kept looking fresh with wax and dyes/laminations. All pricing for touch ups and brow styling can be found on the website.
